The Crucifixion

This Crucifixion image places a sculpted crucifix against a painted representation of Mary and John. It departs from other Crucifixions in that Mary is holding a scapular in her right hand. Many images of St. Simon Stock have him as the receiver of the scapular, but the men pictured in the bottom corners appear to be donors, untonsured and in secular clothing.
